"Having never done any kind of coaching before I was a little nervous going in but Steph instantly made me feel at ease with her warm and friendly approach. Before the first session we talked about where my current skill level is and what my goals are. Steph then began by observing and assessing my climbing to identify strengths and areas of improvement in order to create drills and training tools that are tailored to my specific goals and weaknesses. 
Since starting training with Steph I have made noticeable improvements in my climbing and developed confidence in areas that I would previously shy away from. She knows exactly how far to push you when facing a move that is outside of your comfort zone and is so supportive and encouraging, helping me set goals and challenge myself to try moves I would have previously walked away from.  Her approach to coaching is holistic, covering strength, technical skills, and fear management - building a healthy, sustainable (and fun!) training routine, and increasing my understanding of movement as a whole both on and off the wall.
